SecurityVision
Entrance security software for schools and kindergartens
Softship builds SecurityVision, a face-identification system that security companies run at the entrances of the schools and kindergartens they protect.
Contact usWhat SecurityVision does
It helps the guard at the gate know who is coming in, and leaves every decision that matters to a person.
Recognises authorised adults
Parents, staff and approved visitors are recognised at the entrance. Anyone else is shown to the guard as Unknown.
A person decides
A watchlist match is never acted on automatically; it always goes to a person for review. Recognition is an aid, not proof of identity.
Keeps working offline
A computer at each site goes on identifying, showing live video and raising alerts when the connection to the central server is down, and catches up when it returns.
All your sites in one system
A security company manages every site it protects from one place, and each guard sees only their own site.
Privacy by design
Face data about people at a school entrance needs care. SecurityVision is built around these rules:
- Enrolment photos are not kept. Only an encrypted face template (AES-256) is stored.
- Enrolling a person requires a recorded consent reference, and withdrawing consent deletes their template.
- A watchlist entry needs an official source, a legal basis and an expiry date, and two different people to activate it.
- Event history is deleted automatically under each organisation's retention policy.
